    I like that you focused on a single task in the timeline–it can get pretty confusing because there’s so much going on. One thing: after watching the tutorial, I’m still not 100% sure what the “split clip” button does. Does it delete everything after that point in the clip? Does it just make two separate clips that you can then delete if you wish? But that’s something I can certainly find out in the Help section.

    Using timelines in video editing software is always the most confusing part for me. It looks like Camtasia’s implementation is powerful and therefore, fairly complicated. Thanks for doing these tutorials as videos! I don’t think I would have been able to follow as well otherwise.

    Good that you also mention that the PC and Mac versions are different. For some reason that very pertinent fact is often omitted from video tutorials.
